MY CONTRIBUTION PATHWAY

I'm was really excited when i entered into the world of mozilla contribution. I started the Mozilla activities at the month of April 2015. Till now i had contributed a lot to rise up our community dedication towards victory. Being a part of Mozilla Community, i work with proper ethics and honesty. I learned all those things from my great mentor "Mr.Vigneshwer Dinakaran - Mozilla Representative". Here i split up my contribution experience year wise,

MOZILLA ACTIVITY PLANS - 2017

The plans which i have framed to elevate our mozilla contribution activities for the next half year (2017) covers the entires focuses of functional areas such that WebVR, rust, Web Compat, Mozilla Campus clubs etc..,

• Inaugurating Mozilla Campus Club around Coimbatore region. 
• On-boarding session for academic beginners ( First year students)
• Mini Boot camp for Mozilla Contributors ( Training and Practices for Future Mozillians)
• "MozTent - 2017" - Mozilla contribution awareness program @ Texperia'17 , SNS College of Technology - Coimbatore.
• Mozilla TN Digital Literacy campaign - 2017

I'm sure that the above plans are executable and it will definitely reach our contribution goals.

FIREFOX 49.0b3 BETA TEST DAY INVITATION

Hello Everyone!
Monthly twice, the Quality Assurance team of Mozilla conducts “test day” in which people are invited to download and test the unstable Aurora and Nightly versions of Firefox Browser for Desktop for bugs. The test day involves executing the given testcases and recording the output.
This time, August 12th, we will be testing Firefox 49 Beta 3. We will be focusing our testing on Windows 10 compatibility, Text to Speech in Reader Mode and Text to Speech on Desktop features. Check out the detailed instructions via this etherpad.

It will be a great learning and contributing experience for everyone. And hereby invite you to join us. Lets work together for a better Firefox!!!

RESULT - FIREFOX 49.0a2 AURORA TEST DAY

Hello All!
The Firefox 49.0 Aurora Test Day took place in 22nd of July. The main focus during the testing was around Context Menu, PDF Viewer and Browser Customization. On July 21st, I posted a message in the Mozilla India telegram group, calling interested people to participate in this Test day.Shortly after the I sent the message, few pinged me that they are interested to join.

MOZILLA WEEK OF CONTRIBUTION 2016 - LOCALIZATION

WOC ' 2016 - LOCALIZATION:

WOC comprises lot of contribution areas. For the past two weeks, many of the contributors form Tamilnadu shows their interest in the area of localization. I'm also one of the person who participated in the week of contribution and i put my effort in the area of localization. I suggested only 32 strings (My Pontoon Profile link). And i also mentoring the area of localization to my contributors. I also happy to say that, they are performed well than me. Off-course, totally they are suggested more than 500 strings and i really excited too.

I am very happy to have Mr.Khaleel, a Mozilla rep, as my mentor for this localization contribution.

I conducted the localization event on last Saturday (Dt: 16/07/2016). I just teach them how to involve in the contribution part of  localization and how to complete the localization project in the successful way.

WEEK OF CONTRIBUTION - 2016

WOC - 2016 (#mozillatnwoc16) is the Mozilla contribution event that now i going to take part of it. Generally, Mozilla have lot of contribution areas such as Activism, coding, testing, localization, helping, writing, learning, helping fellowship etc.., And WOC will provides the better training to all the trainers and that makes others too involve in Mozilla contribution.

Previously, I contribute some part of the areas such as web literacy. But still now i not involves in the contribution platform deeply. Why i wanted to join open source community means? The first thing is  that drove me to be a open source contributor and i also love the open source. Some interested areas i like to contribute are localization (|10n), coding, testing, activism, SUMO and i also interested to provide internship opportunity to others.

MOZ COFFEE @ COIMBATORE

Moz Coffee at Coimbatore

Awesome meetup..! I was met Mr.Viswaprasath and Mr.Syedkhaleel Jager, first time at coimbatore. And My mentor Mr.Vigneshwer Dhinakaran also came to this meetup.  It was takes place in fine restaurant near gandhipuram and we discussed a lot about Week of Contribution session and Mozilla community growth. We also made a plan to celebrate the Software Freedom day around coimbatore. I learned some new ethics and skills to improve my contribution level.
